Dear Family,
This was a pretty funny week. We have been in this new area for
about 8 weeks, and the ward is pretty good to us. They were really excited to
have a pair of missionaries in the ward, and they called 2 more ward leaders to
help us with the efforts. This next week will be filled with going to each of
the member's homes and sharing with them the Preach My Gospel manual to help
them do their own missionary work, too. Just curious, what is it that motivates
you guys to do missionary work? What makes you want, on top of everything else
you do, to get involved in the missionary experience? I'd like to hear what it
is, maybe it can help us out in teaching the members about missionary work.
Keep our other investigators in your prayers, and there should be a
sweet miracle coming around the bend for the Cambodian family we've been
teaching. We were teaching them on Friday, and we made her a promise from God
that if she'd pray every night this week that God would allow her to come to
church, and then asked her boss for Sundays again, that a way would open up.
When she comes to church, her and the family can be baptized just a month after
that, so this is a REALLY big deal!
I love you guys, keep up the good
work!
Love,
Elder Wallentine
