Hey everyone,
It sounds like you guys are having a fun time in Belgium; I look forward to
seeing some of that cool stuff in a little more than a year!
I've met a few people from Spain,
Germany and Italy over here, and they are some great people. Are they pretty
good over there? I hope so!
Things are going well here. We have seen some
pretty crazy things happen in this area to our investigators. Cars stolen,
stuck in a hospital for a week, having a crazy ex try to ignite their house...
crazy.
We've had a rough time teaching these people this week, but things are
going well. They came to church, and I feel like Germantown is becoming a giant
refiners fire for the investigators and for us. But they are growing way
strong because of it all!
I love you guys, and all is well here in
Philadelphia! Thank you so much for all your help! You guys are great! I love
you all! Have a great week!
Love,
Elder Wallentine

Dear family,
Things have been going absolutely great here, and I know things are working out well. This past week was a very interesting experience. I'm still adjusting to being a trainer, and we worked very hard this week. On Saturday night, we walked/ran about six miles back and forth trying to make all of our appointments. By the end of the night, I almost collapsed! We had a really great week, and we found a fantastic family that we are going to go teach. God knew I missed the Spanish people from my last area. So He blessed us with a Dominican family of eight the other night, and the mother there is really sweet. She really wants to change, so we are very excited to help her do that.
We are always in a hurry, because I have to write two letters each p-day, one to president, the other to you guys. We only have about 1/2 hour on the computers at the library, so I'm usually in a crunch for time. But today, we are in center city, going to visit the US mint, so these computers have a little more time.
There is a really great article called "A Vision of Service", by Elder V. Dallas Merrel. I just read a little of it, and it's got some really good stuff. All I know is that when we really serve people, we grow to love them, and as we 'love one another', we are granted a greater portion of the spirit. Missionary work without service, just as without prayer, faith, or charity, is just that: WORK. Service is really the center of it all.
Things are going great here, and I am always praying for you guys! I love you all, and keep on praying for us here! You're great!
Love,

Hey there,
This is the first time I've been a senior companion, and I am training a new guy. It's pretty interesting. You learn a lot about yourself when you have a new guy that copies your every move. Seriously, every word I say at a door, he repeats right then. It's pretty funny, because I was just as terrified my first week in the field as he is. I like it a lot though. I love you guys, and I am excited for you all! Keep on making Belgium the best experience ever! It's gotta be pretty cool to see the world! I love you guys!
