Hey family,

I love the mission here in Philadelphia! We're really starting to find people that are ready to hear the gospel and things are moving really fast.

I live in an old part of town. Some parts from about 1681, and the buildings all look really cool. I think our apartment was built in 1781, so we live on a pretty cool street. We've had two baptisms and the ward has been really great taking them into the family.

We've had some great things happen and we are starting to see some miracles. I can't believe I've been out for almost two months.

I haven't really seen much of the inner city, although I did go on exchanges there last week. Some parts are pretty rough, but people are generally friendly to missionaries. We just need to gain the people's trust first. We had to prove to a couple investigators we were missionaries, not mobsters or anything on Saturday. People don't trust others as much as in Boise. I'm having a blast. I love hearing from everyone. Thanks to all who have written to me. It means a lot.

I love you guys!

Dear Family,

It's now Monday, and I'm leaving for Pennsylvania in about 12 hours. The MTC has been great, and I'm so excited about getting into the field! It's been a great experience, and as much as I thought it impossible, 13 hours a day in class has been a blast! (That's exaggerated a little--only 11 or 12 hours).

I know as I focus on the Lord's work, everything else in my life will work out. We've gone to the temple a lot and it's really pretty during a blizzard. I saw the Joseph Smith movie again. They play them at the MTC after the Sunday firesides. I look forward to calling you tomorrow.

I just lost my train of thought. . . one of the elders just fell out of one of the dryers.

Love,
Elder Wallentine
