Hey everyone,
I was reading some old emails, and I realized, it's been
ages since I've last written many of you. I apologize for the wait, and I'm
short on time, but here it goes:
Things are going great in Philadelphia! Right now I've been serving in the Spanish section of North Philadelphia, and
I've just been transferred into a branch of the city called Germantown. I'm not
quite sure what to expect, all I know is that it hasn't much to do with Germany.
Philly is pretty crazy, as usual, and the temperatures have dropped quite
a bit in the last week. I didn't quite understand just what makes Valley Forge
winters so intense, until now. Time to bust out the winter gear!
We had
two really great baptisms yesterday, a great lady named Anna and her
granddaughter. It was so exciting to help them prepare for baptism, it's really
been wonderful! They are so strong, and I am so stoked to see them later on as
she is already excitedly preparing to go to the temple! I am loving the mission
field, even though it is by far the hardest thing I've ever done, (and
investigators keep telling me I have an accent?!? Maybe I'll notice it later on.
I love it here, and I hope everything is going well out west!
Thanks so much for all of your help and support! It helps me out so much to
know that you are all there right behind me! I love you all, and I am so
grateful to have such a great family! Thanks so much!
Love,
Elder
Wallentine
